Art Life Politics: Italy 1918-1943

The exhibition dedicated to the story of art and culture in Italy between the two World Wars, is open until June 25, 2018. Documents and photographs reveal the temporal, social and political context in which works of art were created, staged, lived and interpreted by the public at the time.

Till the end of May the exhibition presents the floury art between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries through the works of masters such as Appiani, Basiletti, Gigola and Vantin to get to Burri, Manzoni, Vedova and Fontana passing through artistic movements and such as Romance, Futurism and Metaphysics.

MANTOVA = LA CAMERA PICTA E LA VITA DI CORTE

From the 3rd of April, the Renaissance masterpiece of Andrea Mantegna is shown in a new set up that includes the exhibition of the Gonzaga collections: paintings, bronzes, majolica, weapons, furniture and artifacts that describe the magnificence also in the daily aspects of court life.

The fourth edition of Cremona Jazz start from April 7th with many of the prestigious names of the international music and many choices of great quality that confirm the review as a point of reference in Italy for this musical genre.

LENNO = DA STAR WARS A 007

Sul lago di Como, definito “il più telegenico dei laghi italiani”, si affaccia la Villa del Balbianello. Costruita nel 18° secolo, sul promontorio di Lenno che domina il lago, è gestita dal FAI. Nel 2002 è stata scelta da Lucas per girare alcune scene, ambientate sul pianeta Naboo, di Episodio II-L’attacco dei cloni. Nel 2006 è stata invece scelta come set per 007 – Casinò Royale.

VAL CAMONICA = ARTE PREISTORICA

Il Parco Nazionale delle incisioni rupestri della Val Camonica è stato il primo Patrimonio dell’Umanità riconosciuto in Italia.L’area si trova in Provincia di Brescia e, al 958, è Parco Nazionale e ospita, distribuiti su 24 comuni oltre 300mila petroglifici realizzati in un arco temporale di oltre 13 mila anni.
